Thoughtful words from a colleague

I happened to pass by one of the Centers to drop off a package and the manager, who I happen to know for a long time and consider a colleague, approached me to chat. He found out about my move last Thursday and was actually asked if I could be placed in his center. He had some worldly advice for me since he was in a similar situation before.

"Try not to dwell on it too long and consider moving forward. Its not going to be easy but the sooner you forget what happened, the faster it is going to be to make positive changes on your new assignment."

I never thought this center manager was ever in tune with my activities and I most certainly was taken aback that he has some helpful advice for me to better myself with the company.

I am certainly appreciative about his advice and will take it to heart. Its probably safe to assume that other managers in the district share the same sentiments. It was really unfair that I was pulled from the project so early in the game and that they had such high expectations and yet they failed to give me the ball and run with it. But like my colleague says, I should try not to dwell on it.

I could sure use some cheering right about now...
