Sucking up the OT

I was working overtime again last night. This time it was for to do complete a project for a TV Show. I cant say much due to contractual obligations but I have to say that the work we made will be shown on TV! But I do admit that putting all this OT has put a damper on all the other things that I need to do. Its also put a hold on the things that I have an obligation to do. I mean there should have been a priority for me to go to my Confirmation meeting last Thursday and yet I chose to put work stuff over that! What is really important for me? Is it my job? If it is then I am letting the world pass me by.

March Madness!

It been a over a week since my last post, a lot of it lost to my new assignment in Hauppauge. This week, I've been putting a lot of focus in making the changes that my district manager wants to see. I've managed to put some checks into play and now all I have to make sure is that I follow up with my team to let them know someone is watching. Its really difficult to do things during normal hours. I end up accomplishing my goals after my scheduled work time. Its the weekend now and its time to catch up on some basketball! The Connecticut just won their first round. Go! Huskies!

Most Admired

Nextel Cup Racing is in a bye week. In Fortune Magazine's most admired companies, FedEx has knocked out UPS in the first place ranking on "Delivery" category. With that said could it be the reason why Dale came in behind Jason on this picture?

High Mileage

Poor old Samantha is at 124,000+ miles! Her sparkle losing its shine. But yet she performs well on the road and just needs a little tune up here and there. I was shown the opportunity to trade down to a smaller car with lower mileage but when I took the other car for a spin it made a squeeking noise and became jerky when I hit the brakes hard. The possible replacement was also in an accident that rendered the passenger side doors dented. More problems arise when I was informed that the car has also undergone front wheel alignment repairs from the accident. This could mean future front end problems especially when the mileage goes up.

So for now Samantha has been spared the switch. She will take me anywhere I need to go. Her brake pads are starting to squeek a lot, time for a brake job. So whats your car story?
