Lighting a fire on their tails

After two weeks at my old center, my manager and I have turned it into a kindler, more gentle center. Projects are again getting DROT and J****** Reports are looking positive! On Time Performance hasn't been this good since I left over 10 month ago. To think, two weeks before this I was getting ready to leave a job that I liked so much. I still however have ideas of leaving if the opportunity rises and if its better for ME.

So for now, I shall continue lighting the fire on everyone's tail to keep the momentum going and "keep moving the needle" to where TPTB expect from us.

As my manager had said, 'They have molded the centers to be like video games, Follow the rules of the game and you win and score big! Dont follow the rules and you fall and end the game faster then you can say "Quick get me another quarter" '.

Continue with game?

He's Playing Basketball

Its the playoffs and my favorite teams arent playing so a couple of weeks back I began my return to the playground to play my pastime LIVE. I took a few shots and immediately I realize how poor my shooting skills have become. I havent taken a ball and shoot it in over five years and look where it has put me.

So I was playing with my sister on a game of 'Eleven' and then a shooting match 'round the world' and I reagained some of my shooting abilities. I must say however that the playground is the best place to learn how to shoot. That hoop is about regulation height without a net and that backboard just seems to not bounce the ball back too well. I had to make some adjustments to my game just to get the ball in the hopes of getting a score.

Last Saturday, Dot and I went to her cousins house and played a pick up game of Eleven and did okay. We didnt win of course but it gave me the push to keep playing and continue my progress in playing the game that I loved so much when I was younger. So today, I seached for that ball that Dot and I bought 3 years ago at Kaybee which was never used and still in its original packaging. I ripped the contents out of the box and noticed that it was a bit deflated. Its sitting right next to me now. I am getting ready to go out and look for a pin to inflate my orange friend and dribble him at the court for an hour or two.

While I am out heres a link on how to play. Read up on it and meet me at the playground.

Full Circle

Just when I started searching for a new job. TPTB are again putting me on a new assignment. This time they have chosen me to head up some changes at my old digs in Melville! I have come full circle in my quest to be manager. I am also going to receive advice and support from the Melville core team to get my act together and keep me focused on my goals in hopes that I can now finally head up my own center sooner than later! In light of this new situation, should I still continue putting my foot in the water and see if anything bites it? Anyway, I am back home ready to take on the task of shaping up a full staffed production team. Maybe I just may bring back Kinkoman! Hmmm, thats an idea what do you think?

I am taking the plunge!

After a couple of people at work put in their resignation, I've decided to start searching for new opportunities. I haven't taken on this challenge in over 6 years. I have a high degree of knowledges about my job but almost nothing else. My experience can be carried on to other types of jobs and probably somewhere that can match it. Anyway, if anyone out there is in the NYC area looking for someone who is customer friendly, a team leader, has a wealth of knowledge about running a production team and technically savy with MAC and PC do let me know. Ill forward you my resume. Cheers!

What a country

Today, I filled out my application for citizenship for the United States of America. I shall be mailing it this week once I take my two identical immigration photographs and have a check written out for $340.00. I have been a permanent resident of this country since 1992 (membership has its priviledges) and now that I am about to get married, I figure its time to get my life in order and get things done. Did I also blog about my confirmation as Catholic which is this Saturday May 14th? I guess I didnt. Man I've been so busy.
